Prof. Malcolm Eames, Principal Investigator
Malcolm Ealmes is a Professor in Innovation and Sustainable Development at Brunel University. Before joining Brunel, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Policy Studies Institute. His main research interests include environmental regulation and management; participation and decision-making; technological change and sustainable development; and sustainable development research policy. He has worked on a number of projects aimed at improving public participation in decision-making.
Dr. Karen Lucas, Project Manager
Centre for Sustainable Development,
University of Westminster
Dr. Karen Lucas is the research co-ordinator for the Centre for Sustainable Development at the University of Westminster and is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Westminster's Transport Studies Group. Her specialist research area is the relationship between sustainable development and social exclusion, and in particular on the two policy areas of regeneration and neighbourhood renewal, and transport and accessibility.
Maria Adebowale, Project Consultant
Capacity Global
Maria is the Founder and Director of Capacity Global, a non-governmental organisation working on environmental justice, sustainable development, diversity, community participation and human rights. She works on research and policy development in these areas for non governmental organisations, the private sector and government. She has a Masters in Public International Law from SOAS, University of London and is also the author of numerous publications in her specialist areas.
Jonas Mortensen,Research Assistant
Jonas works as a researcher implementing the SuScit Action Research Programme. Formerly he was employed as a project assistant in The Danish Board of Technology working with cross-European participative technology assessment. He has a Masters in Technological and Social-Economic Planning from Department of Environmental, Social and Spatial Change at Roskilde University, Denmark. His main research interests are citizens participation; upstream engagement in science and technology; and the links between technological, sustainable and democratic development.
Iara Iudicissa, Project Officer
Iara works at Capacity global assisting on the coordination of the youth project 'Just Cities' and the SuScit research.
She has a Masters Degree in Environment and Development from King's College London University.
