Residents of Islington and adjacencies worked to develop an agenda for future

research on sustainability.

The SuScit shared workshops were opportunities for the residents, researchers,

practitioners and the SuScit team to build up on the issues brought up, taking the

discussion further.

Citizen Science for Sustainability (SuScit) is a three year project funded by
the EPSRC.

The group of mothers residents of Islington have been voicing their concerns and helping to shape up the agenda for future research and practical action in the area.

Food and housing were high on the list of issues explored by their films.

The residents over 65 years of age have been contributing greatly to the development of a local sustainability research agenda.

The groups' main issues are transport, safety and health.

The participants created their own films,taking a very active role by acting, writing, directing and being involved in the editing process as well.

A group of young people, aged from 15 to 19 years old have been actively involved in the project, contributing to the discussions about their local area.

The participants produced films about issues such as safety, waste and services to young people in Islington.

A group of sustainability researchers and practitioners have learned from the community's concerns and priorities in order to articulate a community led research agenda.

During the action research period, ideas for local projects and initiatives have also florished and been embraced by the community.

Residents, researchers, practitioners and the SuScit team celebrated the end of the action research phase.
